Lang Trinh Mai Huong - IFAC, ACCA, CPA

Ms. Mai Huong is Chairman of Vietsourcing Business Services, and is also a leading trainer. She has been teaching ACCA program since 2002 after becoming ACCA member, specializing in financial management, financial reporting, audit and taxation.
Ms. Lang Trinh Mai Huong is working for the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA), responsible for quality control and assurance for almost audit firms in Vietnam.
Before joining VACPA and Vietsourcing, she worked for one of the leading professional accountancy firms and was rotated to different divisions in the firm including audit, tax and investment advise, training. Rachel Tran

Rachel is a member of ACCA and has just come back Vietnam from UK where she worked at Pranda UK Ltd - London as a Financial Controller, a subsidiary of Pranda Group Plc, worldwide, specialized in the distribution of goods both retails and wholesales. Ms. Rachel is holding her MBA at Edinburgh Business School; top 5 in the UK.
Rachel used to work for many companies in the UK, such as Boots Plc, John Lewis Partnership Ltd. She joined the graduated training programme at Essco Ltd, specialized in the commercial, export military spare parts to the Far East and obtained her ACCA qualification at the London College of Accountancy which was awarded by the Queen Elizabeth II, for high quality and reputation in teaching.
She has been traveling many parts of the world, such as USA, Canada, Europe and Asia. She then went back Vietnam, worked for TBI for more than one year. She has obtained a significant confidence, work experience and knowledge from both national and international.
Rachel has also obtained so much knowledge, skills and techniques in the training field especially in ACCA, and MBA. Claude is a leading high-level IT and business management consultant based in Southeast Asia. He is currently consulting to several projects in Vietnam, including the WB-funded Treasury and Budget project at the Ministry of Finance, the ADB-funded State Administrative Modernization and Computerization project, and the WB-funded Higher Education Modernization Project.
His expertise includes project management, systems analysis, and business development. Mr Claude has 20 years experience in management in Europe, USA, Australia, and Asia, as a corporate user, as a vendor, and as a consultant, in a wide variety of sectors, especially in the financial services, ICT and government sectors. For the last 9 years, he focused on development projects in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
He holds a Masters Degree in technology management. He has taught numerous business management courses at the post-graduate level in both HCMC and Hanoi, and is currently teaching MBA program at the National Economics University and ACCA programme on strategic business development and planning.
He lectures frequently on IT and business development -related topics at conferences and seminars, and at local universities, and has been interviewed for local television and newspapers in Vietnam.

Mr Ngoc Anh has many years of experiences in accounting, auditing, enterprise resources planning and consulting during the time working at Grant Thornton and FPT. He was the team leader for many assignments for both international and local enterprises in auditing, financial management, management consulting and solution consulting.

Mr Ngoc Anh graduated from the Hanoi University of Foreign Trade and is certified public accountant of Vietnam and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant of the United Kingdom; he also holds the certificate from Oracle E-Business Suite Training Course as well as SAP Financials and Controlling (SAP AG), the largest ERP suppliers in all over the world.

Phan Vu Hoang

Mr Hoang is one of the first ACCA members in Vietnam and also Vietnamese trainer for the programme. He is teaching financial reporting, financial management and strategic financial planning subjects. He has intensive experience in accounting, auditing, corporate finance, risk management, restructuring, M&A and investment at reputed companies such as PwC, E&Y, TT Royal etc…

After leaving the post of financial control at Denmark Royal Embassy, Mr Pham Van Cung currently is Financial Specialist at one large International Bank. Trevor is the fellow member of ACCA (FCCA). He has over 30 years of experience in various professional positions such as tax officer, financial consultant, chief financial officer, chief executive officer at government and non-government organizations and business organizations.
His working experience is significant from UK to African and Asian countries. Born in England, his international professional career allows him to adapt lecturing pace and speaking style to deliver ‘student-friendly’ native speaking experience so that students can grasp the most from his lecture.
Being a lecturer of the ACCA programme, Mr Trevor is also delivering short courses on financial, accounting and management. He also supports other ACCA lecturers in improving their English and delivering skills in order to maximize student’s understanding.

Francis Ong - CIMA

Francis is an associate member of Chartered Institute Of Management Accountant (CIMA) in UK. He has over 13 years of working experience in both Commerce and Industry.
He used to work as a finance manager with local and international multinational companies based in Kuala Lumpur. In addition, he involved in a consultancy role in setting up accounting system for a hypermarket.
He was exposed to company's law requirements, withholding tax, internal control systems, management audit, and had good understanding about business environment of client companies and had capacity of identifying risks and preparing for setting up financial accounting systems.
In the commerce and industry sector, he worked in the manufacturing industry for a multinational company which had several companies listed in the main board of the Malaysian Stock Exchange.
In addition to financial accounting, he was exposed to various types of payroll system and human resource management.
In the last 8 years he conducted lectures on management accounting subjects. He has been teaching ACCA, CAT and CIMA programmes in countries around the region such as Malaysia, China, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Mai Thanh Tong

Mr Mai Thanh Tong holds a Master Degree in Public Administration at the University of Southern California (USC).
Now he is Vice President of Vietnamese Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA) Ho Chi Minh City Office. He not only holds two Bachelor Degree of University of Saigon (Faculty of Law) and National School of Commerce, but also has a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of First Class Auditors in Vietnam. Currently, he is a freelance lecturer on accounting and tax for various universities, colleges, training centers and for local and foreign companies.
He has over 40 years of experience in the field of accounting and tax with extensive experience in the investment and economics environment in Vietnam. In 1994, he was invited by the Minister of Finance to participate in drafting a new accounting system for Vietnam, which was eventually promulgated at the end of 1995 for nation-wide application.
Mr Mai Thanh Tong worked as a Tax Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for many years. He was assigned to liaise with the upper management of a number of multi-national clients. During that period, he used to work as a key manager on long term management consultancy projects funded by the Asian Development Bank such as Saigon Port, Electricity of Vietnam Corporation, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (1997), Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (1998), Bank for Industry and Commerce of Vietnam (2002).
He prepared and presented many training courses on International and Vietnamese accounting for a number of clients, including courses on accounting for non-business organisations based in the Northern and Southern provinces that received grants from the NGOs such as PREX (Japan) and the Ford Foundation (US) during the period of 2001-2002.
In addition, he provided many VAT training courses for foreign clients when the VAT Law first came into effect. Recently, Mr Thanh Tong was one of the first Vietnamese who received the “Certified Trainer” certificate issued by the Mekong Private Sector Development Facility (MPDF), an affiliate of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank in September 2004.
At present, he is a freelance trainer at PACE, and also an ACCA F6 Taxation trainer at Vietsourcing.

Nguyen Nam Nghia

Mr. Nguyen Nam Nghia, currently works as Investment Manager for State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC- Southern Branch) where he is leading a team to managing its 18 investee companies. His responsibilities are to assist these companies in pursuing business development, financial structuring of the total branch’s portfolio, providing financial advisory and ensuring good corporate governance amongst the investee companies. Another tasks also include supporting the Corporation in investment making, restructuring its large portfolio of companies, and investment opportunities.
Previously Mr. Nghia was Chief Financial Officer of Viet Capital Fund Management Company, one of the well known local fund management companies in charge a fund size of 80 mil USD. He was responsible for financial and accounting operations of the company; overseeing the office management; working with the Board of Management on strategic tasks relateing to human resource, financial strategies, and contributing to the business development including observing/researching
Prior to that, Mr. Nghia held the position of Finance Manager of Unilever Vietnam, a US$ 400m FMCG company where he was the head of the Account Payable team - Sarbane Oxley Compliance and Corporate Risk Management program. He was also the Corporate Accounting Manager, in charge of treasury management, financial reporting and a leader on financial improvement projects.
Starting as a management trainee, he was then promoted to the position of Management Accounting Manager, Unilever Vietnam, being a commercial controller of a fast growing culinary brand in areas of controlling business results, leading business improvements, financial planning, budgeting and investment evaluation.
Mr. Nghia has a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons), majoring in Finance and Management Systems at the University of Waikato, New Zealand www.mngt.waikato.ac.nz . He is also active member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants-UK) since 2006 and now a CFA candidate.
