Vietsourcing members

Vietsourcing members all expected a summer picnic which was organized annually. This summer picnic, 2008, was a special one because it related to an important event of Vietsourcing: 2-year anniversary of establishment 23/08/2006 – 23/08/2008.

This was resting and relaxing chance for Vietsourcing's members after months of hard work.

With two offices in the North, one in the South, many people only knew each others by name through online communication, so when meeting offline people felt excited and surprised to see their friends because offline friends were quite different from their imagination, so when meeting offline people felt excited and surprised to see their friends because offline friends were quite different from their imagination.This special chance led to many memorable situations.

After days of busy preparation, at 8 am on August 8th 2008, it was not only special day for Vietsourcing but also a special event for the rest of the world with the Beijing Olympic Opening, "brother and sister" of Vietsourcing "hit the road" to cloudy town, Tam Dao,

We, in a good mood, travelled by buses on a bumpy track along winding mountains. Many "unknown singers" were discovered showing off their voice creating an exciting atmosphere against the silence of dense pine forest.

With the spirit "free singing", many "newly born singer groups" - potential candidates for the title "Vietsourcing Mr Beauty 2008" showed their "hidden" talents. Games and quizzes organized in the bus were so attractive that they even involved the participation of the easy-going drivers.

Tug of War

“Brumm....brumm", the buses stopped at the gate of a hotel with unique name: Huong Rung hotel. Mild rain, mixture of clouds and fogs and a feeling about the place where heaven and earth harmoniously mingled were our first impressions about Tam Dao.

Its peaceful view and cool weather were completely opposite to the muggy, noisy and busy pace of life in big cities. An dynamic afternoon with interesting games and quizzes.

We gathered all in hotel hall and were divided in four groups: Dai Bang, Chim Cu, Kim Cham and Chim Lon group to compete with games: "Tug of War", "Thoi bot nhat keo" (using mouth looking for sweet in a flour disc), "Jogging in big bag" and "I Love You".

The qualifying round was the show "most attractive legs" and the unexpected loss of power brought more excitements to the show under candle lights. The female judgment board worked so hard to identify 8 male candidates through the naked and unique legs show for the next part.

The next morning, we attended the training part "Team building skills". The organization combined the training with games and the contest skillfully. With the motto "Studying in playing", this was the opportunity for all member to further understand about the foundation and history of Vietsourcing. All people actively took part in team games.

In the morning, there were five groups: Su Su, Sau Rieng, Huong Rung, Ngoc Duong, Son Duong to compete with each other and to win gifts. Under the direction of Mrs Mai Huong, General Director, the competition was so interesting and there were also many “unexpected” gifts.

Sau Rieng group won many prizes such as keeping shoes in armpit running around the room, shouting “The duration of your properties is depend on your usage” and were permitted to kiss "8 candidates for Mr beauty"...which was so interesting. Susu group won the best prize – 100 thousands VND for smart answer about the foundation process of Vietsourcing Group Joint Stock Company.

It was hard again for board of judger to choose best candidate for title "Mr Beauty of Vietsourcing 2008". Interestingly, the winner was Mr Le Thanh Binh, member of Web application development team with their excellent performance and presentation.

The picnic ended with memorable things and lessons about teamwork hidden in games.

Two day picnic was not really a long time but we actually had a good time for being close to each others to share even personal issues which were kept inside during work.

Farewell Tam Dao, we travelled back to Hanoi. The picnic was a really memorable one! The enthusiasm and carefulness of the Board of Director and of all Vietsourcing members really brought us together. Like an invisible attraction, we all have a stronger love for our company and for our valuable moments and all are expecting for the same day next year.
